Save Kratom and 7-OH and in LA

Attend in Person + Speak: LA City Council Committee (Feb 6)

Los Angeles City Council is considering a resolution that supports efforts to ban kratom and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH). We need respectful, prepared advocates to attend in person and plan to speak.

Meeting Details

Committee: Rules, Elections and Intergovernmental Relations Committee
Date: Friday, February 6, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. PT

Room 340, Los Angeles City Hall

Important: Plan to Speak

If you attend in person, please come ready to give a short public comment. Speaking is the most effective way to make sure decision-makers hear directly from the people impacted.

In your comment, please include:

  • A brief personal story about how kratom and/or 7-OH has helped you

  • A clear request to OPPOSE Item #7 (CF 25-135)

  • A call for regulation and further research, not prohibition

  • Why bans push people into unsafe, unregulated markets
