WE DEFEATED AB 1088! CA 7-OH BAN BILL OFF THE TABLE!!
We have amazing news… AB 1088 is off the table! Under mounting pressure from stakeholders and lack of enthusiasm among her colleagues, author Assemblymember Jasmeet Bains has withdrawn her bill, AB 1088, from being heard in the Senate Health Committee tomorrow! Thanks to all of your letters and calls, willingness to show up, alongside HART lobbyists, and our entire 7- HOPE Alliance team, we have SAVED 7-OH and kratom in California for this legislative session!!
Congratulations to everyone!
If you are still able and interested, we would love to see you in Sacramento tomorrow.
Our team is already here in Sacramento, and tomorrow we will have a celebratory lunch with all advocates and volunteers. From there we will head out in advocacy teams to meet with legislators in their offices and educate them about 7-OH and kratom.
Here’s the plan:
- Please arrive at La Bou – 1100 O St, Sacramento, 95814—by 11:30 a.m.
- We will provide lunch for you.
- At La Bou, we will celebrate and put on our matching yellow shirts. (If you have a shirt from a previous action, please be sure to wear it!)
- Around 1pm, we will break into teams and visit lawmakers to share our stories.
- At the end of the day we will do the reimbursement process for gas and parking, and return shirts.
See you tomorrow in celebration!
