Video Testimonial Release & Consent Policy

By submitting a video testimonial through this website, you (“Participant”) agree to the following terms and conditions with 7-HOPE Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization:

1. Grant of Rights

You hereby grant 7-HOPE Alliance and its affiliates, licensees, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, “7-HOPE”) the perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, publicly perform, publish, edit, adapt, modify, excerpt, and otherwise exploit your submitted video (the “Testimonial”)—in whole or in part—for any purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Marketing and promotional campaigns

  • Social media and digital advertising

  • Legislative or policy advocacy

  • Educational materials

  • Websites and public presentations

  • Press and media outreach

This includes the right to use your name, voice, image, likeness, city/state, and any statements made in the video.

2. Ownership & Use

You acknowledge that your Testimonial may be used alone or in combination with other materials, and that 7-HOPE may edit or alter the content for clarity, length, or formatting while maintaining the integrity of your message.

You waive any right to inspect or approve the final version and agree that you will receive no monetary compensation for the use of your submission.

3. Representations & Warranties

By submitting a video, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are over the age of 21.

  • You voluntarily created and submitted the video.

  • The statements made in your video reflect your honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences with 7-OH.

  • You own all rights to the video and have full authority to grant this license.

  • The video does not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or publicity rights.

4. Release of Liability

You release and discharge 7-HOPE from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities associated with the use of your Testimonial, including (but not limited to) claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, or misappropriation of likeness.

5. Revocation

You understand that once submitted and distributed, your video may be publicly accessible and cannot be entirely withdrawn. While 7-HOPE will honor reasonable requests to stop using your video in new materials moving forward, it cannot retract content already published.
